Y-12 FCU: Smart ads. Dumb jokes.
Some situations call for dry wit. This was not one of those situations.
Challenge:
Y-12 Federal Credit Union needed to promote their Signature Visa. And they had a compelling offer ready to go: a great intro rate, cash back rewards, even a $200 bonus. But how do you get all of that into a campaign and still make it fun? How do you hype the card without losing Y-12 in the process? And then, assuming that all gets figured out, how do you keep it going with a 15-second home loans spot focused on Y-12’s lending guidance?
Solution:
The answer starts by stripping things down to a graphic-forward approach, leading with silly humor (some might even say dumb), and high-impact energy that tees up a decidedly unsubtle presentation of the offer. That tone continues with “Guy-Dancing” an unapologetically punny joke about guidance. By rooting simple humor around a singular product message, these spots yield big impact for a smart credit union, that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
