Zoom Backgrounds That Let You Travel to a Private Getaway
experience vacation vibes in every meeting
The Strum team transitioned to working from home in mid-March. Our daily morning stand-up meetings, internal meetings and client presentations have all been done over Zoom. It’s been a voyeur’s dream to get a glimpse into the homes of our coworkers.
A few of us have also taken to using Zoom backgrounds. They’re great for concealing clutter, embarrassing décor and Zoom lurkers. Maybe you’re just really private and don’t want to deteriorate the Work You persona you’ve worked so hard to cultivate. Or maybe it’s just a nice way to transport yourself to somewhere you’d rather be right now.
Whatever the reason, Strum designer Willy Eddy created two Zoom backgrounds to spruce up your next meeting.
This first one is an A-frame cabin in the woods. A-frames became popular with vacation homeowners because they’re affordable, beautiful and functional. They often have glass walls on each end of the home, allowing you to experience your surrounding without leaving the coziness of your home. Something we can all appreciate right now.
For a seaside escape, opt for this background featuring a row of beach huts. The best thing about these beach huts is that you’ll have the shore all to yourself, like Castaway, but make it cute.
To make these your Zoom background:
Right click on the image of your choice below. Select “Save Image As,” to save it to your computer.
Log into Zoom and open Settings from the main Zoom menu.
Click on the “Virtual Background” tab, and enable it if you haven’t already. Then click on the plus sign next to “Choose Your Virtual Background.” Select the Strum background you downloaded.
Still having trouble? Check out Zoom’s full instructions here.
Have fun on your “travels”! Please tag us on Instagram @strumagency and show us your screenshots.
In the meantime, enjoy a picture of some Strum team members loving the vibes these backgrounds bring.
